A very modern word lately. But what exactly does that mean? Is this just a nobler name for laziness, or is it something else entirely? Procrastination is a time thief, right? Is procrastination okay or should you be ashamed of it? And can this activity be decided?

This special word is based on the Latin “pro-crastinus”, which means belonging to tomorrow. The very concept of procrastination is explained as a morbid postponement of duties. When you have an activity every now and then that you don’t want to do and you put it off, it’s normal. It is important to make sure that postponing activities does not become the rule. Unfulfilled tasks fill your mind and can bring with them a guilty conscience. Especially in the evening before bedtime, postponed things like to take the floor and thus prevent you from falling asleep. If this condition is repeated often, you will get into long-term stress, which then leads to various diseases.

Everybody’s a little procrastinating sometimes. Depends on how far you let it go. Anyway, procrastination has nothing to do with laziness. A lazy person does nothing and is satisfied with this condition. On the other hand, a procrastinator would like to work, but for some reason he does not want to do a specific activity. He’s inventing other and other activities that can be done rather than doing what’s really important.

Is there any way to fight this scheming? It does, it takes a little discipline and planning. Once you have regularly planned and mastered the tasks according to the given list, you will get used to it. Then the procrastination won’t surprise you anymore. Even if you don’t want to do something, you just go and do it.

When performing properly, don’t forget the reward, that’s what the brain likes.
